The vending machines have been known as early as 1880’s when the first coin-operated machine was introduced in London, England by Hero of Alexandria. When a coin was inserted, it fell to a pan that was held by a lever. This lever would open the valve, which would leave some water flowing. The pan would continue to tilt until the coin falls, hence the counter-weight would force the lever back and that would turn off the valve. Around the same time, a vending machine for selling books was developed by Richard Carlisle.
Thereafter, vending machines offered everything including stamps, cigars, postcards and many of the items.
In 1902, a completely coin operated restaurant was introduced in Philadelphia which stayed open until 1962.
During the early 1920’s, there was the first automated machine that dispensed soda into cups. Famous Vendor lators were introduced which mainly dealt with the coca-cola and Pepsi. They included the VMC 27 and the VMC 33.
Later the bulk candy machines also came into the market. The candy machines are mechanical machines that hold a large amount of bouncy balls, or small toys or jewelry and even candy. The items maybe unsorted and the customer may only get subject to chance for the coins that he or she drops.

No comments · Posted by in Uncategorized
Isn't it frustrating when some new technology comes on the market that you really want, but you just don't have the money to spare? This is the case for many people with the new Apple iPad. If you don't have the $500 to spend on this nifty new piece of technology right now, you still might be able to get a free Apple iPad if you follow my advice.
Although it might seem like some kind of a scam, believe it or not some research companies actually need testers for their products. Sometimes this means that you can assist them by giving an honest review of how it works. After all, this is called market research and companies desperately need honest folks who will give their opinion.
Some companies will actually pay you to test their products along with giving you the actual product itself. However, be careful as some of these websites are not legit. You should not have to give them a credit card to receive a product for testing. If they ask for one, run away as fast as possible.
Companies typically give away a certain number of free items to be tested by private members of the public. Their are some lucky people that do get to test these at no charge to them. You just need to find a legitimate website that allows you to sign up for testing products. You also should be sure to read the fine print before signing up for anything.
Yes, you can get a free Apple iPad and many other products, but the key is to verify that website offering the product is a reputable website and you could be one of the lucky one's to receive one.
